A friend of mine recently sent me a link to this site. Lots of personal essays here--some good, some not so good. But most of them are worth reading. New essays are posted every three weeks, and all of the old ones are archived. Almost as interesting are the bios that are available for every essayist. You may recognize some of them.

at first i thought this would be a cool place to try and get published. i then realized i'm not on a hit t.v. show...or writing for a hit t.v. show...so i chickened out. plus, i don't have a davey jones story, sadly.
I know, that does give the site kind of a weird vibe, But if you can ignore that, there's at least some good reading, even if it isn't a great publishing option.
Although, what do you have to lose by submitting something? They leave it open to anyone. Plus they have pretty decent republishing rules.
i'm just a big wuss bag when it comes to submitting stuff. i have no idea why, the worst they can say is no. they're not going to hunt me down and torture me for bad writing. although. . . .
yeah, you never know...
I second Sarah, apparently you need a tv show first...
